Late Pothnak Pentaji and Karepe Bhavanaji, the local Philanthropists, came forward to donate 10 acres of land and to sell 10 more acres on nominal price in the outskirts of Bhongir Town for the purpose. Setting up a degree college had become easy with that huge chunk of land. Theland donors contribution was great and it cannot be forgotten. The thenSub-Collector Sri A.N. Tiwari, Sri Manchala Mallesham, a leading businessman and a great patron of education and culture, Sri Ananda Rao Thota, the thenPrincipal of Sardar Patel College and Sri K.Venkateshwar Rao a leading advocate had played a commendable role in collecting money for Corpus Fund and in completing the preliminary formalities.
